This book is not about saying, don’t have an induction, or a caesarean. We all know there are a number of reasons why these may be needed for the health of the baby, or mother. But so often these days, these methods of birthing are being offered without these reasons, and with very little depth of knowledge being passed to the parent about the side effects for themselves, let alone their child. So it is my wish, to provide some of that depth in the hope that it empowers further health and direction within your choice.

You will receive:

  • my induction story
  • all listed medication side effects for inductions and caesareans
  • over twenty questions to ask yourself and your professional to aid your choices
  • very helpful reference of resources

Within my clinical experience I also believe there is a propensity for newborns to be more unsettled, exhibit “reflux” symptoms, and experience more ongoing digestive issues after an induction or caesarean. This is why I have decided to collate this in-depth list of the medications that are used at birth, along with all of their side effects, in the hope that this then stops the child being prescribed over-the-counter ‘remedies’ or acid inhibitors under the premise that they have ‘reflux. When in actual fact the child could be experiencing the side effects from the caesarean or induction medication.
